Hours: 8-4 Monday through Friday, except holidays.

A blood test is NOT required.

Each person must present one form of valid government
photo identification with proof of age.

If either party has been granted a divorce within 90 days of applying
for a new marriage license,
a copy of the final divorce decree must be
presented at the time of issue.

Your marriage license is effective immediately
and valid for 90 days anywhere within the State of California.
You will need two witnesses for your ceremony.

VERY IMPORTANT !
Certified copies may be purchased
through the county clerks office
about two weeks after license is filed by us. You will not
receive anything from the county or from us after the wedding.
You MUST contact the county
for a certified copy of your San Diego marriage license
in person or by mail. Their fee is $14
AND beginning Jan 1, 2010, you must have a notarized request for
a copy of your certified San Diego marriage license,

The fee for a regular/public marriage license is $50.00
Confidential License is $ 55.00

** We have a special arrangement with a county notary who can
issue a confidental marriage license by appointment...
this would save both you the trouble of going to the courthouse.
It's a bit more expensive, but might be worth the convenience !
