Due to the popularity of the Kearny Mesa office that is open on Saturdays,
please anticipate a wait when you arrive.

A blood test is NOT required.

Each person must present one form of valid photo identification with proof of age.
To expedite the identification process,
it is recommended that both the bride and groom
bring a certified copy of their birth certificate.

If either party has been granted a divorce within 90 days of applying
for a new marriage license,
a copy of the final divorce decree must be
presented at the time of issue.

Your marriage license is effective immediately
and valid for 90 days anywhere within the State of California.
You will need two witnesses for your ceremony.

Certified copies may be purchased
through the county clerks office
about two weeks after license is filed by us
The cost is $13.


The fee for a regular/public marriage license is $50.00
